BeenBad4U Said,
You have to understand: Jimi had music & lyrics dripping off his fingertips constantly. He was a living, walking, breathing musical instrument!
He dabbled w/ the songs structure on 2/22/69 @ Olympic Studios in London. He wrote the lyrics in LA later in June. Woodstock was later in August. Then he recorded it (w/lyrics) in NYC on 9/6/69 @ the Hit Factory, then again @ the Record Plant on 9/23/69. In any event, I have seven versions of this song, at last count, so its NOT rare…
Peace Bro!

DON’T FOOL YOURSELF: This video is nothing but RECENT computer digitally-generated…using clips & snippets of various COMMON footage from 1967 thru 1970, nothing new here…
BeenBad4U Said,
CORRECTION: Jimi flew to LA in late March to pick-up his new 69 Vette. He returned to NYC & recorded more, then played major Shows. He flew back to LA on 4/25/69 & booked into the Beverly Rodeo Hotel. He played the LA Forum, then more shows when he was busted in Toronto. He posted bail & played many more gigs & ended-up back on the west coast, and played Waikiki Shell in Hawaii. He returned to the Beverly Rodeo Hotel on 6/9/69 and WROTE this song. He recorded it LATER in NYC that September…
