Jay-Z will be releasing his new book on November 16th, entitled Decoded. The novel will be part memoir, part analysis and also have an open discussion of Jay-Z’s lyrics.  The book back track’s Jay-Z’s upbringing in Brooklyn’s Marcy projects, to his current status as one of the biggest stars in America.  Jay-Z collaborated on this 336-page book with former editor of The Source, Dream Hampton. In his recent cover story with Rolling Stone magazine, Hova talked about his book, which was initially titled The Black Book, and was to be released around the same time as his 2003 album, The Black Album.

It’s too much. For the book, I was interviewed, people close to me were interviewed. So I was learning a lot of things I didn’t know as a child,” Jay-Z told RS. “It’s not anything I haven’t said in the past, in songs. It’s just more detailed. A song is three minutes long. A book doesn’t have to rhyme, and it has no time limit, so you can say exactly how everything went.

On the same day, southern rapper Trick Daddy is also set to drop his autobiography entitled Magic City: Trials Of A Native Son. According to the description:

Magic City: Trials of a Native Son, chronicles Trick Daddy’s story against the backdrop of Miami, the Magic City. It is an extraordinary story, of a childhood marked by poverty, a crime-laden adolescence, an incarceration, a meteoric rise to fame, and a struggle with a potentially fatal medical condition. It’s the story of a boy whose father was a pimp; who, left to his own devices, learned to hustle to survive and whose only role model was his brother, the drug dealer he watched plying his trade on the block. But while his story is remarkable, the most astonishing part is that he is not only still alive, but that he got out.

If you’re not too gangster to buy a book, check out your local book retailer and pick up a copy!

AP — Grammy-winning rapper T.I. is headed back to Atlanta and may soon be ordered to face the federal judge who signed off on an extraordinary deal that shaved years off a potential prison term.

Illest – The award winning artist was arrested on Wednesday night after cops smelled the distinct essence of marijuana coming from his car. Ironically at the same time that his redeeming VH1 special “Behind The Music” has been airing repeatedly. In the show T.I. claims that he has his act together and has learned from his mistakes.

T.I’s probation officer will need to convince District Judge Charles Pannell Jr that T.I’s probation should be revoked following T.I.’s arrest on substance possession in Los Angeles. If he fails T.I. could face the real possibility of heading back to jail before the year ends. T.I.’s probation doesn’t actually end until 2013.

“T.I. is going to be back on his way to Atlanta in the next 24 hours,” Don Samuel, one of T.I.’s lawyers, said Thursday. “It’s almost certain he’ll end up appearing before the court here. But without knowing all the facts, it’s premature to speculate what the court is likely to do.”

One of the reasons that T.I. received an untypical deal that led to him only doing a couple months in jail for a series of gun charges was because of his vow to be a changed man. The plea deal saw T.I. serving over 1000 hours of community service along with speeches that were aimed directly at the lifestyle that T.I. had spoke with exceptional credibility throughout his discography including his critically acclaimed second album “Trap Musik”.

T.I. who was released from jail in March after only serving three months in Atlanta’s halfway house has stayed out of trouble until this incident.

Wednesday night, 29-year-old T.I., whose real name is Clifford Harris Jr., and his wife, Tameka “Tiny” Cottle, were arrested in West Hollywood during a traffic stop.

“Deputies smelled a strong odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle,” the Los Angeles sheriff’s department said. “A narcotics investigation ensued” and resulted in the arrests.

T.I. and his wife were released on bail on Thursday night; both posting $10 grand.

Although marijuana is considered a small crime in the eyes of the law. Any offense when you’re under probation can hold serious consequences. Illestlyrics will keep you update to date with all the developments as they unravel.

In related news, T.I. has been hard at work on his new album “King Uncaged” set for a release possibly as early as this fall.

UPDATE

Los Angeles Police Department has revealed that it was a small amount of Ecstasy Pills found in the Maybach, this will count as a Controlled Substance charge against T.I.

Jay-Z and Eminem will have some company with them during their back-to-back Detroit shows at Comerica Park later this week, and then again when the duo hit New York’s Yankee Stadium.

One of B.o.B’s managers, music-industry vet T.J. Chapman, wrote a not-so-thinly-veiled message on Twitter indicating that the VMA nominee is set to open for the two superstar MCs.

“I’m excited about heading to Detroit tomorrow for a few days,” Chapman wrote late Tuesday night. “B.o.B is performing @ Tiger Stadium w/ GUESS WHO & WHO????”

Jay and Em are of course scheduled to perform at the Detroit Tigers’ new stadium (the team’s old ballpark was known as Tiger Stadium) this Thursday and Friday.

The Atlanta rapper’s other manager, Brian “B.Rich” Richardson, wrote on Twitter on Wednesday that his client would also open for the superstar duo during their New York residency in two weeks, slated for September 13 and 14 in the Bronx.

“New York & Detroit, B.o.B is gonna open up for @EMINEM! and @JayZ!!!” Richardson wrote.

The buzz for the twin pair of concerts continues to build. This week, Jay-Z and the Yankees unveiled co-branded paraphernalia in honor of the New York performances: Jerseys, T-shirts and hats featuring Jay-Z’s The Blueprint 3 insignia will adorn items alongside the team’s classic interlocking “NY” logo.

Fans got a small preview of the much-anticipated pairing earlier this summer when Eminem and Jay-Z visited the “Late Show With David Letterman.” Both MCs performed, and later Eminem delivered the show’s trademark Top 10 list, while Jay-Z sat for an interview with Letterman.

Another drop from Omen, he’s another artist on his way. Previously he dropped with J. Cole on “The Come Up” value Mix-tape and in my opinion he’s got a cool flow.

This emcee reps Chicago in hopes of releasing true Hip-hop. Some of us believe that the influx of Hip-hop has went south, due to the urban rise in today’s mainstream and radio.

Eminem and Jay Z, better known as the renegades, are reuniting for two concerts that will take place in Detroit and New York respectively. Both will occur during the baseball games of the two MLB teams, the tigers will be treated to their show on September 2nd, while the Yankee fans will have to wait until September 13th.

“This is a once in a lifetime set of shows, and I know we’re both really going to bring it to our hometowns,” said Eminem, who will be releasing another studio album in late June, the second since he returned to the music business after four years away dealing with substance abuse problems. “The fans are going to love this – and so am I. It’s gonna be historic.”

Jay-Z has been steadily touring since releasing his latest album, “The Blueprint 3.” Eminem has not headlined a show since October of last year, and was visibly excited about eh project when talking about tour. He will be performing one full set that will include a number of new songs from his upcoming CD titled “Recovery.”

The artists were interviewed about the show at a Yankees/Tigers double header that happened a couple days ago. That is when they made the announcement of this two game performance.
