I constantly talk to hip-hop artists who are looking to get signed, get a record deal, and make a lot of money. Unfortunately, the chances of that continue to appear slimmer and slimmer as the record industry evolves. These days, more and more artists are moving away from the old business models and putting out FREE albums. Below are some of my favorite FREE album downloads through June, 2010. Vacation Post #3: My Favorite Videos of 2010 | Hip-Hop Linguistics

“Because of the miraculous ways the Doctor formulates.” I didn’t write that, that was a quote from this presentation by Eminem. I have a feeling that Em didn’t get someone to write this speech for him.

I’ve got to admit that Still Dre beat still sounds ill. Come on Dre, give us that Detox album, before 2012.

Drake ends the show with performances of a couple of his singles, Fireworks and Over. As a bonus, they bring out Young Jeezy to do a remix to Lose My Mind.

Not that bad of a line up, by far the hottest emcees in the game at the Bet Awards last night, with Eminem, Drake, Jeezy, Kanye West and B.o.B. At the end of the year, they might own all the spots for top selling albums too. The only person that I’m surprised wasn’t on stage is Luda.

      Bonus

Diddy-Dirty Money feat. Rick Ross, Nicki Minaj & T.I. – O Lets Do It/Hello Good Morning

      Props to Nahright!

This is the second dope track/video I’ve come across from these cats. The Mass Effect is a track from Spectac & Amiri’s “Almost Famous.”

This is a new video for Destroy, a track by C-Rayz Walz that I can’t find any information for anywhere. Hopefully, it’s a sign of new material dropping. If you have any details, please leave them in comments section.

Eminem rips up this Ridaz bonus track off Recovery. The song is a bonus that will only appear on the I Tunes version of the album besides if you’re witty enough to download the track and put it on your version.
